Camissa Knights is a jazz quartet that masterfully intertwines the nation’s rich musical traditions with diverse international influences, resulting in a sound that is both adventurous and deeply rooted. The ensemble comprises talented musicians: pianist George Werner, electric bassist Peter Ndlala, drummer Carlo Fabe, and trumpeter Muneeb Hermans. Each member has been shaped by the mentorship of some of South Africa's finest jazz artists, refining their craft through extensive performance and recording experiences.

While Camissa Knights demonstrates a profound appreciation for jazz tradition, they are not confined by it. They continually explore new musical territories, seamlessly integrating elements of Afrobeat, funk, and rock into their compositions. This innovative approach creates a sound that feels both familiar and refreshingly new.

George Werner’s piano work stands out, characterized by a dynamic touch and intricate phrasing that adds depth to every piece. Peter Ndlala anchors the group with his powerful electric bass lines, providing a robust rhythmic foundation. Carlo Fabe infuses each performance with energy through his vibrant drumming, while Muneeb Hermans elevates the music with his virtuosic trumpet playing, effortlessly blending melody with rhythm.

Camissa Knights' music appeals not only to aficionados of South African jazz but also to anyone who enjoys infectious grooves and captivating solos. Whether performing at intimate clubs, lively festivals, or grand concert halls, this quartet consistently captivates audiences with their exuberant energy and joyful sound.
